Short version
[Programme short version - see QR code for full version]
For the wealth and resources in our society to be used for the ‘needs of people, planet, peace and not profit’.
Our vision can only be taken forward by a cooperative and democratically controlled publicly owned economy that could start to ensure:
People
A publicly owned and provided NHS and social care free at the point of need.
Secure housing for all.
Open free access to quality lifelong education to all.
End poverty.
Culture for all produced by all.
Social support to enable not disable.
Free transport and movement for all.
Planet
Net zero by 2030.
Prioritise biodiversity.
Development Land to be collectively owned,
Sustainable Cymru food production for people and the planet,
Peace
Production for welfare not warfare.
Oppose & expose genocide and prosecute war criminals,
Support the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.
Withdrawal from NATO, support diplomacy,
Implementation
Winning this radical change towards the needs of people, planet and peace cannot be achieved within the limitations of the current British constitution. An independent and republican Cymru is the only sustainable answer if workers in Cymru are to achieve an ecosocialist transformation.
Independence for Cymru would have wider implications. It could act as a catalyst to workers in Scotland and England to dismantle the broken Westminster institutions that have never worked in the interests of working class people anywhere in the UK state.
In the Senedd elections we can start to demand and campaign for radical democratic change such as full PR, open books, taxing the rich, community and worker control, full trade union rights, and non-implementation of UK imposed authoritarian legislation.
